Do you ever wonder about the impact of your night cream on your health? do you ever worry about the cream you put on your baby? No worry the app “Think Dirty” is here.

Think Dirty is an app created by Lilly Tse. It helps you define which product is ok for you to use in your bathroom. Their mojo: helping the customer identify the potential risks associated with personal care products. To be honest I think this is a revolution: let me explain. Instead of spending hours at the supermarket to find the perfect skincare by looking at all the ingredients: you can just open your phone and scan it! Yes just scan it and it will tell you if you can use it safely! Yes, I know it is actually that easy.

How does it work:

You go to your bathroom and scan the first product: it will give you a rating from 1 to 10. The goal is to be between 1 to 3 but you will quickly realise your bathroom might be more a 7 to a 9. IT IS SCARY! 

On the think dirty website I found this definition:

If the product is listed from:

• 8 to 10: the products’ ingredients have potentially serious negative long term effect on your health.
• 4 to 7: products’ ingredients have potential moderate negative long term health effects.
• 0 to 3: products’ ingredients do not contain any ingredients which have a documented potential negative health impact!

To be honest with you, I love it. You can use it for hair, skin, beauty product. 

The little negative that I found is this is a quite new company and they are from the US… I currently live in the UK and try to have local products. However, when you scan your bar code they do not have the product you can keep register it and they will check it for you. This obviously helps to create a bigger database and help you define the safety of your product.

This app is only the beginning, they also have a full part on verified brand. You can shop directly through them and can be assured about the product. If you like to try new products and love surprises you can always try their box subscriptions.

To conclude:

I love the “Think Dirty” app and think this app not only saves time but also stress regarding the safety of our product.

Even if they are missing some products I can always use it to find new better products for myself.

My goal for this year to turn my bathroom into a 3.
